Staircase stringer 8 steps of pressure treated wood for garden stairs
Our stringers allow you to easily build your external or internal staircase. Useful for bridging the level difference in your garden, accessing the terrace, entrance door, your cellar, or the upper floor.
The steps are fixed on the staircase stringers. We recommend placing the stringer every 60 cm to ensure the robustness and safety of the structure. Greater distances could compromise the step's resistance due to weight.
The stringers are available with 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 steps, and you can completely decide the width of the staircase.
Place the stair stringers no more than 60 cm apart and screw the decking boards onto them. For additional stability and safety, you can also create a riser behind each stair step by screwing a deck board vertically against the stair stringer.
We recommend using our impregnated softwood stair treads as deck boards. Refer to our page "How do you build wooden outdoor stairs?" for more information on crafting a garden staircase yourself.
ATTENTION:
- Our stair stringers are SOLD INDIVIDUALLY; for the construction of a garden staircase, you will need a minimum of 2 stair stringers.
- Our stair stringers cannot be custom-made.
The number of stair stringers you need at a minimum for an outdoor staircase:
- Steps width between 60 and 100 cm: We recommend using 2 stringers.
- Steps width between 120 and 160 cm: We recommend using 3 stringers.
- For every additional 60 cm, it is advisable to add an additional stringer.
Following these recommendations, you can benefit from a sturdy, safe, and well-structured staircase, capable of meeting all your needs.

Deck stairs type A has smooth impregnated wooden, pre-drilled steps and perfectly match Vinuovo's wooden stair stringer.

Deck stairs type C - Extra-deep, thinner, solid decking board
Deck stairs type C are equiped with impregnated decking boards, smooth on 1 side, with fine ribs on the other. The steps are not pre-drilled, allowing you to determine the location of the holes and the stringer yourself.
Screws for fixing steps: Decking screw 5x60mm - Reisser RT UT A2
The standard stringer is suitable for any regular staircase and available up to 8 steps high. 2 steps of each 145mm wide can be screwed onto the stair stringer, giving a depth of 29cm per step.
