The outdoor metal staircase kit with hardwood steps includes everything you need to easily build your own outdoor staircase for your garden.
The steel stair stringers are made of hot-dip galvanised steel and are highly resistant to all weather types.
The "Type D" steps are sawn from Bangkirai hardwood. These boards are smooth on one side and have 7 grooves on the other. You can decide for yourself which side you prefer! (The kit will soon be available with other steps)
The steel staircase kit is available in standard dimensions of 60-80-100-120-140-150cm.
This beautiful combination of an outdoor metal staircase with an hardwood staircase comes included with enough stainless steel bolts, washers and nuts for you to completely assemble the staircase.

What sizes are available for the outside metal staircase?

IMPORTANT: The decking shown in the photos is NOT sold with the staircase kit.

To fix this outdoor metal staircase to the floor or walls, you can use these galvanised steel mounting bolts 8x65mm for stair stringers. If the wall or surface is strong enough, you won't need to use dowels with these bolts. These screws are easily embedded completely into wood or concrete, however, if you are hoping to fix the outdoor metal staircase into brick or other brittle surfaces; we highly recommend the use of chemical dowels. This is a product made of two components that you inject into the wall and hardens and secures around the bolt.

Frequently asked questions:

Question :

When fixing the steps, the last bit of the screw does not want to go in since it is larger then the rest, how do I fix this?

Answer:

You need to give the screw a good tap with a hammer on the head of the screw, this blocks it in the step so that the screw is firmly fixed, you should not drill a wider hole because then the screw will turn into the void, these screws are intended for this purpose and this will block them so that the step is solidly fixed on the stringer.
