Question concerning the Morso Fire Tongs (62980600) : Can they be used as fireplace tongs i.e. for moving logs/ blocks of wood? How wide can the tongs go?

Answer: The tongs were specially developped by Morso to move around your wood in your BBQ's.
However, they are not designed for really heavy logs/ blocks. Because of the weight, the logs/ blocks could slip out of the grasp of the tongs. Not many tongs are designed for this sort of heavy manipulation. For heavier pieces of wood, we highly recommend you use a good pair of dark gloves like these Morso ones.
