Our customers have already built this with our outdoor wood :
Hardwood posts
Hardwood posts are no doubt the best posts for outdoor use. Because hardwood is strong and sustainable.
But these garden posts are also difficult to work with, very heavy ánd expensive. And a lot of cheap junk is sold. Garden posts that warp or are already warped when you buy them.
Or a bad quality of hardwood. Because not all hardwood is hard, so to say. There are many types of wood being used for fence posts.
It is really worth reading a little more about the different types of posts before making your choice.
Our hardwood posts are made out of Angelim Vermelho hardwood, the Rolls Royce among hardwood species.
Is this the type of post you are looking for? Then simply use the button below to go directly to our offer :
Garden posts
Garden posts or wooden posts of pine wood need to be pressure treated. If not, they will quickly rot away.
The quality of the pressure treatment is very important. We work with our Danish partner Plus and all our pressure treated wood posts are supplied by Plus who only works with FSC certified wood, on our pressure treated wood page, you will find all technical information about this variant.
When we talk about garden posts, we mean square posts or recangular posts. We do not sell any round wooden posts, so no need mentioning them.
Garden posts or wooden posts can be used for many purposes: A pergola, deck stairs, a garden table, a balustrade...
I myself build lots of things with wooden posts, as you can see on our website ;-)
Fence posts
Actually, all our wooden posts can be used as fence posts.
It all depends on the type of fence you choose, which hight, and your presonal taste.
In combination with our different garden fences, we also propose different fence posts.
Wooden posts, metal posts, composite posts, a round garden post made of galvanised and powder-coated steel or square steel garden posts.
We also have posts with slots in them, which you can slide boards into. So you can easily create your own custom-made fence.
As you can see, plenty of choice, a solution for every taste, every garden and every size.

Steel tube posts and round garden posts
A round garden post is made of a steel tube, which explains the name steel tube post.
Our round garden posts are first galvanised. The garden posts go into a bath of boiling zinc and some other ingredients to protect the round garden post from rust.
Then the garden posts are powder coated to give them a nice strong coat of paint that is highly resistant to outdoor weathering.
Because of this double treatment, the tubular steel posts are a bit more expensive, but you can be sure you have good quality that will last!
Square metal posts
The metal fence posts that we mostly use ourselves are those square metal posts.
These metal posts are galvanised to withstand bad weather well.
The garden posts come in thicknesses of 80x80 or 45x45mm. Also available as garden posts with foot plate so you can screw the metal post directly to the ground.
The metal posts are hollow inside and are closed with a black plastic cap on the top. This allows you to easily run cables through the post, making them ideal as metal posts for cameras, a doorbell or the intercom at the entrance to your luxury villa (if you happen to have one, of course ;-)).
Composite fence posts
Composite is a beautiful material and durable, if of good quality.
But we'll tell you more about that in our Composite fence posts category.
When you use composite for a garden post, it absolutely has to be reinforced with steel.
And you need a good post foot to make sure the garden post is properly fixed.
Beautiful in combination with a composite fence such as the ARTURA and FUTURA series, but these garden posts are also very good to use in combination with a glass fence or a glass balustrade.
Okay, you're still with us...and you have read all the way to the end, great, thanks.
But does that mean that you have not found here above what you are searching for?
If you are still not sure which material will suit you and the situation in your garden better, you can find more information and technical detaiils about the different outdoor wood types on our page outdoor wood.
There we give many more details and properties of the different woods in our assortment:
